FCMB Group Plc has told the Nigerian Exchange Limited, shareholders and the investing public that it will not meet the usual October 30 deadline for its nine-month unaudited financial statements for the period ended September 30, 2026. The group said the consolidated third-quarter results will be published on or before December 29, 2026, according to a regulatory filing signed by the company secretary, Mrs Olufunmilayo Adedibu.

The company said the postponement follows the start of an interim audit of its largest subsidiary, First City Monument Bank Limited. The filing said the outcome of that audit “would have a material impact on the Group’s consolidated accounts.”

FCMB management told the exchange it would finalise and submit the consolidated accounts immediately after the audit review. The filing stated, “The Consolidated third quarter 2026 result of FCMB Group Plc, will however be published on or before 29 December 2026.”

The notification comes against a backdrop of strong half-year performance for the group. In its unaudited results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, FCMB reported profit before tax of N157.3 billion, a 99 percent year-on-year increase from N79.1 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Gross earnings rose to N676.2 billion in the first half of 2026, up 27.8 percent from N529.2 billion a year earlier.

The half-year statement showed interest income grew by 31.0 percent and earning assets increased from N4.90 trillion to N5.98 trillion. Annualised earnings per share rose to N4.23 for the first half of 2026, compared with N3.96 for the full year 2025.

Earlier in 2026 FCMB completed a N500 billion recapitalisation. The group said that recapitalisation enabled its banking subsidiary to meet the Central Bank of Nigeria’s minimum capital requirement for an international banking licence.

The regulatory filing and the group’s half-year figures were reported by Nairametrics. For the notification to the exchange the company secretary named in the filing was Mrs Olufunmilayo Adedibu.

Under normal reporting timetables the nine-month unaudited results would have been expected by October 30, 2026. FCMB’s revised deadline for publication is 29 December 2026.
