A new leadership transition has taken place at the Ogun State Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) with Engr. Wale Ogundele officially taking over as the Head of Operations from Engr. (Dr.) Taofeek Babalola.
The handover marks a significant development in the agency’s drive to strengthen vehicle inspection processes and enhance road safety across Ogun State.
Engr. Ogundele is expected to build on the achievements recorded under the leadership of his predecessor while introducing fresh ideas aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Speaking during the transition, officials of the agency commended Engr. (Dr.) Babalola for his dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the growth of the Vehicle Inspection Service during his tenure as Head of Operations. His leadership was described as instrumental in advancing the agency’s mandate of ensuring roadworthiness of vehicles and compliance with traffic regulations.
In his remarks, Engr. Ogundele expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the Ministry of transportation and the Director Vehicle Inspection service in the state, Engr. Olugboyega Ademehin and pledged to work closely with management and staff members to sustain the agency’s standards.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork, innovation, and commitment in achieving the objectives of the Vehicle Inspection Service.
Stakeholders have expressed optimism that the new Head of Operations will further strengthen the agency’s activities in promoting safer roads and enhancing service delivery across Ogun State.
