Idera Pathfinder Foundation Founder, Dapo Okubadejo Honours Late Parents with Mosque Reconstruction

The Idera PathFinder Foundation on Sunday held its Annual Ramadan Tafsir and Commissioning of the Reconstructed Ogun State Government Technical and Vocational College Mosque, Ijebu Ode in memory of late Alhaji and Alhaja Okubadejo.

The event, hosted by Hon. Abdulrahman Oladapo Okubadejo, the Ogun State Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, was marked by prayers, recitations from the Quran, and a warm atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose.

The occasion drew a large gathering of prominent political figures, dignitaries, and Moslem clerics, including the Grand Chief Imam and President, League of Imams and Alfas in Ijebuland, Shaykh Miftaudeen Gbadegesin Ayanbadejo and a renowned Moslem cleric from Abeokuta, Imam Sugar, the Waziri Musulumi of Yorubaland.

Hon. Okubadejo while delivering his speech, preached peace and harmony within the religious fold, emphasizing the importance of unity and coexistence.

He noted that the reconstruction of the mosque was done in honour of his late parents, and pledged to continue their legacy of community service and philanthropy.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude for the generous donation of Ten Million Naira from a respected Christian and governorship aspirant in the 2027 elections, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi towards the mosque’s maintenance, refering the gesture as an example of interfaith solidarity and a reflection of the strong bonds of friendship and respect between people of different faiths.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Abayomi Arigbabu, Ogun State Commissioner for Education, the Special Advisers to Ogun State Governor on Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs and Political Affairs, Hon. Razaq Daddah and Hon. Biyi Adeleye, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Mufu Oseni, Ijebu Ode LG APC Chairman, councilors, political leaders, party members and well wishers from various walks of life.

Also present were representatives from various community organizations, business leaders, and prominent individuals who have contributed to the growth and development of Ijebu Ode.

The gathering showcased community spirit, unity, and a shared commitment to promoting peace and progress.
