The Chinekezi brothers, Jesse Charles Chinekezi and Ted Charles Chinekezi, have launched JobSeeker AI, a web platform they say will help people find work, start businesses and adapt to changes in the labour market.
BusinessDay reported the launch and said the platform was made available on the World Wide Web under the technology portfolio of Avatar and Qantum AI Technologies Limited. The report described the Chinekezi brothers as among Africa’s leading AI developers and technology innovators.
The platform is positioned as an alternative to narratives that present artificial intelligence mainly as a job destroyer. Instead, JobSeeker AI is presented as a tool to help job seekers secure employment, support entrepreneurship and create new opportunities in the labour market, according to the report.
Jesse Chinekezi was quoted in the BusinessDay report saying that, if AI contributed to the loss of a user’s job, JobSeeker AI is designed to help that person secure a better opportunity within 30 days. The report added that the founders aim to use AI to help workers remain competitive, find opportunities faster, transition between careers and create businesses where necessary.
