Tango Brook Technologies marked its one-year anniversary on Wednesday, saying the company now serves more than 150 corporate customers and has broadened its offering from fuel payments to fleet and energy intelligence solutions.
The Executive Chairman, Peter Atuma, made the disclosure at the anniversary event themed “Powering Accountability,” held at the Lagos Continental Hotel, according to a company account of the event reported by Nairametrics.
Atuma named some organisations on Tango Brook’s customer list, including Flour Mills of Nigeria, Seven-Up Bottling Company, LAGRIDE, United Bank for Africa, CardinalStone, Indigo, Kredi, Golden Penny Foods, Anchor Insurance, Cardash, Autogirl, Cordros Capital and Fate Foundation. The company said these clients form part of a customer base that now exceeds 150 corporate organisations.
The company said it launched with the Tango Fuel Card and has since expanded its product suite to include the Tango Fuel App and Fuel Card, GenVault, Tango Fleet Management and an Energy Intelligence layer that connects data across the solutions.
David Oyo-Ita, who joined Tango Brook as chief executive in January 2026, described the firm as evolving from a fuel and fleet management business into an “Energy Technology and Intelligence Company,” the report said. Oyo-Ita told the event that between January and August 2026 the company recorded a 12.4-times increase in wallet funding and a 46.7-times rise in revenue. He also said app transactions and active transaction cards each grew 3.4 times over the same period.
On generator monitoring, Tango Brook highlighted GenVault as an Internet of Things enabled solution that provides real-time information on generator fuel consumption and refuelling activity, the report added.
The company said it has begun laying groundwork for expansion outside Nigeria. Tango Brook stated it is incorporated in Ghana, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and that a strategic partnership with a South African firm is expected to support rollouts in Southern Africa from January 2027, according to the report.
Obi Wemambu, managing director, Africa at Tango Brook, said the firm plans to adapt its solutions to different African markets through local partnerships and market-specific products. The report quotes Wemambu as saying the company aims to build an African technology business capable of competing globally.
Tango Brook also said it has obtained ISO 27001:2022 certification as part of efforts to strengthen information security and customer trust.
The company described its founding aim as addressing weak visibility, control and accountability around energy expenditure where manual processes had previously created room for fraud, leakages and inefficiencies.
What the company says next
Tango Brook said its next phase will focus on scaling its model and expanding across emerging African markets, while leveraging data analytics and telematics to help clients reduce energy leakages and improve operational efficiency.
